What you’ll be doing:
- Advising clients on all aspects of health, safety, and risk management.
- Conducting workplace audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Developing tailored health & safety policies, procedures, and training.
- Ensuring compliance with the latest H&S legislation and best practices.
- Building strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Consultant or Advisor across various industries.
- Recognised H&S qualification NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
- Experience working as a CDM Advisor and Principal Designer.
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects.
- Full UK driving license and own vehicle

Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health and safety audits and fire risk assessments.
- Develop and implement health and safety management systems and policies.
- Provide practical advice on a wide range of health and safety issues.
- Deliver engaging training sessions and workshops for client employees.
- Identify and pursue organic growth opportunities within client contracts.
- Advocate for and demonstrate the use of our software and online platforms.
- Act as Lead Consultant on designated client accounts, ensuring consistent service delivery.
- Stay updated on health and safety legislation and best practices, advising clients accordingly.
Requirements
- Experience as a Health and Safety Consultant or Advisor, across various sectors
- Strong understanding of H&S legislation and best practices.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, working towards CMIOSH status.
- Relevant fire safety qualifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate clients.
- Proficient in MS Office and OH&S software systems.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.

Agency notes
This is a full-time permanent role, working 40 hours Monday to Friday, and is available to start as soon as possible upon appointment. The client has not notified us of any specific Health & Safety Risks. The notice period is 1 week during probation, rising to 1 month thereafter and is paid on a monthly, salaried basis. Salary offered will be dependent on experience. You will be entitled to a £5000 car allowance + 24 days holiday + your birthday off + bank holidays + pension with 4% employer contribution. You will be home-based with regular travel to client sites across London and the South East region, and occasional meetings at Cheltenham Head Office.
