Location: Banstead, Surrey | Salary: £65-75K + bonus + generous package.

You will be responsible for overseeing the statutory Health & Safety obligations of this major corporate client, providing operational and strategic Health & Safety oversight to all areas of the business. The role will also support and develop an integrated global approach in the context of Corporate Property Services to Corporate Social Responsibility and matters relating to Environment and Social Governance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shape and implement policies, procedures and best practice across the UK and Europe
  • Prepare the annual budget for H&S expenditure and any capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects
  • Establish and maintain risk assessments across all areas of the business
  • Liaising with colleagues in Property, Human Resources, Legal and Corporate Communications
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local authorities and other 3rd party stakeholders
  • Periodically audit company H&S policies, procedures and performance
  • Coordinate with Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Services or any other department in relation to new projects or buildings to provide H&S oversight
  • Support new Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives

The ideal candidate will hold:

  • GradIOSH or CMIOSH status
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Corporate / Property H&S background
  • Strategic safety management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
