The appointed candidates will need to travel to customer sites enabling them to successfully develop their business using a variety of management thinking, tools and techniques including the implementation and maintenance of quality, environmental, safety and integrated management systems. You will need good communication skills as you will have contact with clients at all levels of the client organisation from shop floor to top management.

The successful applicant is likely to have a generalist background and will need to be comfortable working across a variety of different sectors.

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Assisting and coaching owners and managers improve the way in which their systems and processes deliver value to their clients
  • Implementing completely new, practical but robust, quality, environmental, health and safety, information security and integrated management systems
  • Supporting and improving quality, environmental, health and safety, information security and integrated management systems for existing clients
  • Analysing client operations to identify pain points, inefficiencies and any unmet business needs
  • Working introduce various other improvement projects, e.g. business excellence, business continuity and Investors in People (training provided)
  • Preparing various documents such as; policies, process maps, procedures, work instructions, RAMS, aspect and impact, toolbox talks and training materials
  • Providing associated training

Experience:

  • Working knowledge of at least one certificated management system, for instance, quality (ISO9001), safety (OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001, environmental (ISO14001) and information security (ISO 27001
  • Working knowledge of various other improvement initiatives, tools and techniques would be an advantage e.g. business excellence, statistical process control, Six Sigma/Lean, Deming etc

Skills/Education:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; The ability to converse, communicate and interact comfortably with a range of people and positions; from the shopfloor to the board is essential
  • Solid client relationship/client management skills
  • A background / interest in management generally and performance improvement in particular
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrable analytical abilities
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential
  • Demonstrable ability to facilitate, negotiate and influence when working with teams
