A great opportunity for an entrepreneurial Health & Safety Consultant to take on a key role with an established, growing business with ambitious growth plans. The company currently uses a network of Associates to deliver Health & Safety and Fire Safety services to clients across the UK, so this in-house role represents an opportunity to shape and share in their continued success.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the care or supported living sector, with a good understanding of the health and safety challenges in a multi-site residential care setting. We are looking for someone who can engage with a range of clients and stakeholders to drive Health & Safety improvements and promote best practice.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement Health & Safety policies
- Undertake regular site visits and inspections
- Provide Health & Safety advice and guidance
- Monitor Health & Safety compliance and performance
- Maintain and develop client relationships
You will be responsible for writing reports, making recommendations and supporting clients to ensure they have appropriate measures in place to maintain compliance. It’s a client-facing role, so we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, good commercial awareness and excellent technical skills. You will be required to regularly travel to client sites with occasional overnight stays, so a full driving licence and willingness to travel is essential.
