Salary: £45 – 55K + car allowance | Location: Gloucestershire / Oxfordshire based with travel

Hybrid role based in Gloucestershire or Oxfordshire supporting design phase through to practical completion, commissioning, handover and snagging on solar farm sites across Central South, South and South West regions.

Working closely with the Development Team at the very beginning of project feasibility to capture project risk and ensure that project design evolves to eliminate, reduce and control risk throughout the project lifecycle with the overall aim of delivering project excellence, exceptional safety performance, 100% buildability, usability, and exceeds client expectations. Reporting to UK HSE Manager, and part of UK HSE multi-disciplinary team who will support each other in providing stakeholder support to the highest standards.

Role will coordinate safety in design for all new projects, shaping project performance, and be responsible for coordinating and advising throughout the project lifecycle.  This role will deliver CDM the way it was meant to be, working in-house, directly with the development, design, EPC project teams, and end users to ensure risk is designed out, that lessons learned from previous projects are considered in future designs.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely, as a member of the UK HSE Team, and thus participate in site visits, inspections, audits, accident investigations, policy, process and procedural review, training, coach and mentor personnel.

  • Significant experience in project design, construction, engineering. Renewable energy, Oil & Gas, Civils, M&E, Utilities, Solar or related industry experience would be advantageous
  • Chartered Membership of IOSH (or working towards)
  • IMaPS or CMaPS status
  • Experience and knowledge of ISO 45001 and IS014001
