Location: Kidderminster / hybrid | Salary: £24,360 + benefits
We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join a social housing provider in Kidderminster, providing clerical and administrative assistance to ensure compliance with safety regulations across fire, asbestos, water and estates. Working as part of a busy, dedicated team, you will be helping to ensure buildings compliance across 6,000 properties.
Key responsibilities
- Support compliance with fire, asbestos, water, and estate safety regulations.
- Maintain and monitor remedial works, ensuring accurate records.
- Schedule compliance activities with contractors and validate their documentation.
- Update the Asbestos Register and manage communications from authorities.
- Assist in managing compliance contracts and arrange meetings.
- Ensure timely monitoring of compliance activities in the asset management system.
- Maintain up-to-date procedures and foster collaboration across teams.
- Adhere to organisational policies and promote collaborative relationships.
- Focus on health, safety, and well-being in all activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks according to company standards.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws while improving service delivery.
Essential requirements:
- Knowledge of fire, asbestos, and legionella regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Understanding of housing regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and a valid UK driving license.
