Overview

Location: Manchester | Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + £5,200 car allowance + benefits

Great opportunity to join an established team, delivering lifecycle and variation construction works in a healthcare environment, working closely with the client, other service providers and supply chain to deliver construction projects safely. We are looking for someone with a broad construction safety background, with experience of both construction site safety and thorough working knowledge and experience of the CDM Regulations. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Management of Health & Safety on site
  • Working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Reviewing of risk assessments and method statements
  • Advising on all aspects of CDM (client / PC)
  • Temporary works advice and guidance
  • Act on the findings of CDM visits / audits
  • Support contractors to understand safety / CDM requirements
  • Provide innovation and market leading solutions, delivering continuous improvement and data led focus on safety and responsible business

The ideal candidate will have a background delivering health & safety / CDM advice and guidance, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Projects include general construction, refurbishment, car parks, lifting operations, temporary works and asbestos removal. This role is mainly site-based in Manchester, with responsibility for supporting other contracts and projects across the Northern region as and when required. To be considered for this role, you must hold:

  • Good working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
