About the role
We have an opportunity for a Technical Assessor (Health & Safety) to join a growing, technology-led compliance business.
The role is focused on assessing and verifying supplier submissions against defined compliance criteria, while providing a high standard of support and customer service throughout the assessment process.
You will play an important role in maintaining assessment quality, supporting customer retention and ensuring submissions are reviewed accurately, consistently and within agreed timescales.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working in Health & Safety, along with a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, good communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
As a Technical Assessor, you will:
- Undertake technical assessments and provide advice and support throughout the assessment process.
- Accurately review and verify documentation against defined criteria and agreed processes.
- Provide clear guidance to suppliers and customers throughout the assessment journey.
- Proactively communicate with customers through multiple channels to request information, provide clarification and resolve or escalate issues where appropriate.
- Respond accurately and professionally to customer queries, seeking further information where required.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service across all communication channels.
- Work within agreed KPIs and take ownership of personal performance against business and individual targets.
- Contribute feedback to help improve customer service, processes, response times and assessment tools.
- Support the training and mentoring of new team members where required.
- Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Assist with the development and delivery of additional technical services where required.
- Develop your technical knowledge to support assessments across additional schemes and compliance services.
- Undertake other reasonable duties within the business as required, with appropriate training and support provided.
